INFLITE are proud to be certified carboNZero by Enviro-Mark Solutions.
“As an operator, we’re also deeply concerned about climate change so chose to commit to going carboNZero certified. Our businesses take guests into spectacular parts of our country, often inaccessible without the use of aircraft – so it’s our responsibility to minimise our impact as much as possible to ensure that our sensitive environments are protected for future generations to come.” Adam Joyce, INFLITE CEO
As part of the process, we had to measure emissions across all our locations nationwide and put in place mitigation strategies to reduce and offset emissions. The first step was acknowledging that flights and experiences have a considerable impact on carbon emission through the use of aviation fuels.
This certification aligns with INFLITE becoming an early adopter of the Tourism Sustainability Commitment, which led to us creating a sustainability plan and partnering with the Motutapu Restoration Trust. We also have sustainability partnerships with the Abel Tasman Tree Collective, Kea Conversation Trust, Department of Conservation and Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail.
“One of our core values is centred around sustainability. This accreditation plan has enabled us to raise the bar of excellence honouring those. Now our team across all of our bases are able to take pride in the working for a company that is committed in its care for the environment.”
INFLITE Group is committed to reducing our impact on the environment and making our business and those we partner with, more sustainable. As we grow and develop, we’re committed to making a difference to our business, and to the communities within which we operate.
INFLITES’s Sustainability Values:
Kaitiakitanga – the guardianship and protection of our natural & cultural environment
Manaakitanga – the respect and generosity we show our guests & each other
We’re proud of our partnership with Motutapu Restoration Trust that’s seen thousands of trees planted on Motutapu Island.
The island, which was declared pest-free in 2011, is now home to rare and endangered species.
Customers booking experiences through our scenic flight and skydive brands have the option of purchasing a tree that’ll be planted on Motutapu Island.
Sustainable Tourism Commitment
The New Zealand Tourism Sustainability Commitment aims to see every New Zealand tourism business committed to sustainability by 2025 – our Vision is Leading the World in Sustainable Tourism. To deliver on this, we must achieve ambitious economic goals while sharing the overwhelming benefits with supportive host communities, contributing to restoring, protecting and enhancing our natural environment, and continuing to be a high quality destination of choice for domestic and international travellers. We’re proud to be an official member, and an early adopter.
